How long do Herpes symptoms last? How often do people normally get outbreaks?
How do u know if something is wrong? Does anyone know if anyone has every died from herpes or had a serious illness from it?

What would alert u to having too many outbreaks and if they last too long?
Isn’t there a medicine that u can take everyday to combat against outbreaks?
Will this help u not to pass it to someone who doesn’t have herpes???

Initial outbreaks can last for several weeks and outbreaks can occur often the first year or two that you are infected . Some women are triggered for example by their menstrual cycle. Herpes usually starts with a heavy weighted feeling and a tingling sensation in the genitals. Pain and intense itching can also develop in early outbreaks. Then red sores and a blister like rash can develop. Unfortunately, sometimes the rash and sores develop within the vagina and can not be easily detected.Acyclovir used to be the drug given to help combat outbreaks but now there are many different variants. Once you have herpes there is no cure and subsequent attacks can become almost unnoticeable. That is why you need to use condoms and people who have herpes need to be completely honest about their condition and the fact that they can always pass it on. If a baby passes through its mother vagina while she has a viable herpes infection, the baby can go blind or even die. That is why women who know they have been exposed will usually have a c-section to deliver. This is a very big reason to be careful about who you have sex with, because it not only affects you right now, but it can potentially affect any of the children you ever bear. There is no free ride when it comes to sex.

What are the short and long term symptoms of genital herpes?

Posted by admin on April 21st, 2009

I’m doing a physical ed. assignment on genital herpes, and i need to know what the short and long term symptoms of it are. please and thank-you.

The classic symptom of genital herpes is a cluster of small fluid-filled blisters that break, forming painful sores that crust and heal. This process can take several days.

But some people get only a rash or small bumps on the skin that appear to be pimples. Still others have different symptoms, such as painful urination, and some women have fluid discharge from the vagina.

Sores may appear four to seven days after a person is first infected. Flu-like symptoms, including fever and swollen lymph glands in the groin, may also follow the initial infection.

Symptoms come and go with no set pattern. One person may have an outbreak once a year, while another may have one every few weeks. Before a flare-up, a person may notice an itching, tingling, or burning sensation in the affected area, and there may be sharp pains in the pelvis or down the leg.

Herpes sores are usually worst the first time they appear. In later outbreaks the sores tend to be less painful and last for a shorter period of time.

The symptoms of genital herpes can affect any of the following places on the body:

Penis
Scrotum
Vulva
Vagina
Anus
Urethra
Thighs
Buttocks

Does anyone know a way to privately obtain medication to treat symptoms of herpes?

I am so embarrassed to go to my doctor and need something fast. I am miserable and can’t go on like this.

It is nothing to be embarrassed about, but it is understandable that you are. I felt the same way, tried a few different medications and have had the best luck with Valtrex. Although you may think you need a prescription for it, this is not the case. I, too, was uncomfortable visiting the doctor, so I order mine online at

http://medicalpharmacyonline.net

The medication is delivered to me the next day in an extremely discreet box. I don’t have to worry about feeling uncomfortable and judged in any way. Plus, www.medicalpharmacyonline.net is a US licensed pharmacy with US licensed physicians.

I hope this helps. I know how you feel.

How does herpes affect the process of getting pregnant?

Posted by admin on April 1st, 2009

My fiance and I have decided that we may want to have children in the future. He has been diagnosed with genital herpes but I have avoided contracting the disease. What are the options for me to get pregnant without contracting herpes?

It does NOT affect your abilities when trying to get pregnant. Herpes doesn't mess around with the fertility, hormones, sperm or inside of the penis it's a contagious skin infection. If you don't have herpes he will have to be very careful not to ever have sex when he thinks he is getting or is has an out break in progress.
He should be taking antivirals, natural (ie Lysine) or medical (ie Valtrex) regularly. This will help to reduce his chances of him passing herpes to you, and he should get to know his symptoms so you can abstain from having sex.
If your hormone, fertility and uterus is normal and healthy then you may want to consider telling him to have his sperm levels checked out.
